RastaCountry & Timothy Chance

RastaCountry and Timothy Chance are teaming up to bring you exotic sounds and soothing vibes with mixing Rasta and country Drummie Zeb has been passionate about music his whole life, and has been playing the drums since his childhood. The event that really set things up for Zeb with Bob Marley and The Wailers came when he was playing with The Awareness Art Ensemble, the two groups were on the same bill numerous times. He sat in on their sound checks, playing alongside Aston Family Man Barrett, the original Bassist of the Wailers who produced, arranged and wrote much of the band's legendary catalog. Drummie Zeb, maintaining his relationship with Family Man, twelve years ago was approached by an Awareness Art Ensemble manager who had also worked with the Wailers, and had heard that the Wailers needed a Drummer. Shortly after, Drummie Zeb found himself playing in the most internationally known Reggae band, including 16 years as the heart beat of Bob Marley enhancing his creativity as a drummer. After the summer tour with Kenny Chesney, Drummie went on touring with Wailers & recording and writing for his personal project, Rasta Country. Rasta Country seeks to bring two styles of music together that aren't generally associated with each other, and give a sense of going from the farm to the beach.
Drummie Z is best known as the longtime guitarist for reggae icon Bob Marley, where his unmistakable style helped shape the sound that continues to inspire generations worldwide. After decades of carrying the torch of roots reggae, he is stepping into a new creative era with Rasta Country, a groundbreaking project blending the spirit of reggae with fresh musical landscapes.
Together with partner Timothy Chance, Drummie Z brings experience, authenticity, and innovation to the stage—building a sound that is both deeply rooted and forward-thinking. With Rasta Country, he honors his legacy while carving out a bold new path for the future of conscious music

Roots Musik Karamu -Legacy Of Haile Selassie I Episode (7-19-25)

This special episode is “livicated” to the legacy of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who was born on July 23, 1892. He was the last Emperor of Ethiopia and a complex individual indeed. Haile Selassie is a central figure in Rasta "livity".I’ll be sharing some of his profound words along with music that reflects his significant impact on the world and Rasta culture. A big shout out to Osei Chandler for the opportunity to share some of my favorite songs from my music collection, and to Bruce Roberts, the producer and engineer, for making the process so seamless. buzzsprout.com/969181/episodes/17532872
